Happy New Year!

It’s been a long time since I’ve posted, and I’m not even going to be able to make this one long to make up for it.  We had a wonderful New Year’s Eve last night which consisted of watching the ball drop in NY on our tiny TV.  (We now get reception of some local channels with the help of rabbit ears.)  Now as you might realize, we live in Texas, which means that the ball dropped at 11 instead of at 12.  No matter.  We celebrated the new year at 11, and we promptly went off to sleep.  I think this officially makes us old.

We do have a good excuse though.  We began to move into our new house yesterday!  And Bryan has also come down with a horrible sore throat and splitting headache.  It got worse as the night went on, and I realized that although we wanted to act our age and stay up past midnight, it wasn’t a wise thing to do for him.  He needs rest since this week will be full of moving from one house to another and since he has a big trip next weekend.

So today we’re taking it easy.  I have him relaxing on the sofa in our new living room with medicine inside of him, lots of water and snacks beside him, and a blanket on top of him.  I stopped by the computers on campus to check some things before going to our old house for necessities, and I thought I’d start the new year off right by blogging. 🙂  Now I’m off to the grocery store for lots of orange juice, ibuprofin, and chicken soup!
