getting ready to go

We are in the final stages of preparation for our trip. We will be leaving on Saturday and returning April 6th. Please pray for us while we’re gone! I know that it will be an exciting and challenging experience, and we will need to rely on the Lord the entire time. I pray that experiences like this will help me to rely on Him more each day even in the US!

We will be in two small towns in _country_ for most of the trip, and we will spend the last week in a larger town in _another country_. We will help with literacy workshops, trauma counseling, and meetings with community and church leaders, and we will also do as much language survey as we can while we’re there. An important part of our trip while in _the other country_ will be meeting with another organization that may be able to offer us help when we go to _country_ full-time. Our organization doesn’t have anyone (like support staff) in the country full-time, so we would need to partner with others.

If I have time this week, I want to post about the items we will be taking with us. If not, I’ll post again in April! 🙂
