Day 25, Thursday, March 29

We are taking off from _city_. Yesterday we had the closing ceremonies for the second set of workshops. Everything is so unnecessarily formal, and I continually have to remind myself that it is just something their culture finds important while we generally do not to such a degree. I left the ceremony yesterday thinking it was much ado about nothing. 🙂

The afternoon was spent in a meeting about how everything went, and there were church politics involved that I don’t feel like getting into (or even remembering later). Basically, if we are ever going to get into another situation where there is a new bishop, it is good to remember that there could be conflict between the new guy & the old guy’s people, even if the old guy doesn’t know about it. Also, this can greatly affect us and our programs without us knowing it and without having anything to do with us.
